Krishna Janamashtmi Celebration

Today i.e. on August 30, Krishna Janmashtami festival will be celebrated. Today is the jubilee period. It means a very good day. Today is Krishna Paksha Ashtami Tithi, Monday, Rohini Nakshatra (Nakshatra of birth of Krishna Lalla) Such a holy day is called Jayanti Kaal.

Worshiping today will give eternal good fortune for eternity. Together we all make this day auspicious.

So here is what you have to do. Please read every point carefully.

1. You should decorate your main door with banana leaves, aam(mango) or ashoka leaves, flowers.

2. Do fast from today early morning ( Brahma Muhurat) . Eat only fruits and drink milk or keep nirjala fast( I prefer nirjala fast without any water or food once a year on this day)

3. You can open the fast the next morning by eating a Tulsi patta.

4. The whole day do the below any of the mantras .

 A. Om  Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay

 B. Om Kleem Krishnaye Namah

 5. Place Krishna Murti or Shaligram or Krishna Lalla Idol on a red Aasan

6. Bathe the Idol with Panchamrit and do Shodapchar poojan.

Panchamrit Making  Procedure:

 Milk, curd,ghee,honey,gur is used generally to make panchamrita. Mix fresh cow milk wih powdered  gur,honey,curd and ghee and then add tulsi leaves.

 7. Beautify the Idol with vastra, flowers and incase if it's Krishna Lalla then place the idol on a palna or hindola.

 8. Offer Dhoop- Deep, nariyal (coconut)  sweets, chuare, panjiri, anaar

 9. Have a belief that Krishna will come to visit your house.

10. Take few flowers and Tulsi petals in your right hand. Pray to Lord Vishnu/ Krishna to accept your pooja which is done with full faith and dedication. Say the below words.

 है जगतपति , श्री जगन्नाथ, है पुरुषोत्तम - अपने पार्षदों एवं भगवती देवी सहित बैकुंठ से अवतरित होकर आप मेरे घर में सपरिवार विराजे। मुझसे जैसी पूजा आपकी हो पाइ मैंने की है आप स्वीकार करें।
